Description

Were in search of a Marketing Assistant to join the Pattison Agriculture team for an 8 month term, starting in the month of August 2019, to assist us in delivering various marketing initiatives. This position can be based out of any of our 19 locations across Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

As a Marketing Assistant, you will support the Marketing department initiatives through participation in events, compiling research, completing necessary documentation, editing/auditing & producing materials and/or reports.

Some of your key responsibilities will be to:
-Compile industry, market and demographic research, including focus groups
-Develop and update written material
-Prepare weekly/monthly summary reports on team activities and company exposure
-Administer and organize project files, articles, etc.
-Assist with administering internal intranet
-Assist with event coordination and execution
-Book meetings and monitor calendars
-Propose, assess and maintain budgets
-Act as a partner to & liaise with business partners
The ideal candidate:
- Is currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from an undergraduate program in Commerce, Business Admin, Ag Business, or Communications program (focused in marketing, PR, journalism, writing or a related field of discipline)
- Has volunteering experience/exposure
- May have previous experience with event planning & coordination
- May have Agriculture Industry knowledge
- Will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; confidence with presenting
- Has strong research capabilities

The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated and capable to work independently; to be willing to work flexible hours; a valid drivers license; to travel independently, as needed.
