Brief Description:

This position involves a managerial role under the straight direction of the Coteau Range Manor Board. The operational manager will act as a liaison to the Board on everything. The operating manager will carry out the supervision of the Manor as well as daily office management.

Qualifications:
1. Valid Certificate:
    -Personal Care Home Orientation Work shop
    - Food Sanitation Course
    - Standard 1st Aid Course
    - Personal Care Workers Course (provided by Ministry of Health and required within 3 months of     employment)
2. On-line Medication Assistance Module (ministry of Health)

3. Hold Current certification for Foot Care or be willing to obtain

4. Preference may be given to applicants with training in a Health Care field. This may include but not limited to Registered Nurse, Registered Psychiatric Nurse, License Practical Nurse or Continuing care Assistant.

5. Criminal Record check within past 6 months

6. Superior Communication Skills

7. Managerial training an asset.

Tasks:
Aministrative:
    Staff scheduling
    Ordering groceries, medications, cleaning and office supplies
    Daily office management (answering phones, emails)
    Create policy; Occupations Health and Safety documentation
    Marketing of Personal Care Home
    Attend Personal Care Home Association Meetings
    Renew Manor License & inspection
Residential Care:
    Provide direct Resident Care
    On Call for emergencies and assistance
    Develop relationships with Residents and Families
    Admission/Discharges of residents
    Liase with medical staff (ie Nurse Practioner)
    Maintain client confidentiality
Supervision of Staff
    Supervision of all staff employed by Coteau Range Manor Board
    Work variety of shifts to work with and build relationships with staff members
    Ensure ongoing education/training to meet resident needs
    Ensure required certificates & training is obtained and remain current as per Ministry of Health. (Personal Care Home Licensee Handbook)
