The Family Preservation Program Manager is responsible for managing the Integrated Intensive Services Program (Family Preservation FPP) for SIGN. The Family Preservation Program Manager will work closely with the Ministry of Social Services and the other community partners to strengthen the well-being and safety of families. The objective of this program is to provide direct, intensive support services to individuals and families whose children would otherwise require out-of-home placement to ensure their safety and protection.
Duties include:
Coordinate and participate in case management, consultation, and program planning activities
Maintain and model appropriate personal boundaries with clients
Maintain positive relationships with other service providers
Oversee and assist with the planning and implementation of program enhancements
Using a collaborative approach, facilitate community partnerships and communication in all aspects of service delivery in each of the 5 areas of the program
Ensure financial accountability and program expenditure requirements are met
Determine areas of improvement for employees, providing additional training as needed
Ensure that all employees comply with organization policies, procedures, safe work practices, and ethical standards
The knowledge and understanding of how trauma and abuse can affect child and youth development
Strong time management and communication skills
The flexibility to work non-traditional hours and days, including evenings and weekends
Qualifications:
A post-secondary education in a human service related field
A Valid Drivers License and a safe, reliable vehicle
A current Criminal Records/Vulnerable Sector Check
Experience:
A minimum of one-year experience working with children and families
Experience in program management
Experience with coaching and development of employees
Proven experience with resource management
