Cowessess Community Education Centre, located in the scenic QuAppelle Valley, is seeking a Principal for the 2019-2020 School Year. CCEC is a beautiful PreK to Grade 12 education facility situated close to Crooked and Round Lakes. The current facility, built in 2002, is home to 180 students and 30 educational staff. CCEC offers cultural programs, Elder literacy support, programming from PreK to Grade 12, athletic and community programming, a daily hot lunch program and CCEC one of 27 schools that are participating in Following Their Voices.
Cowessess First Nation is a dynamic, forward thinking, progressive community that supports holistic education principles, team work and shared responsibility. The principal of the school is instrumental in building and sustaining a climate of support, success, achievement and high expectations for students and staff.
Interested educators must provide a letter outlining their suitability for this position, including relevant, successful educational leadership experience. A Master of Education degree in Educational Administration or Curriculum and Instruction is preferred and 5-10 years of successful teaching experience is required.
