DENTAL AIDE
1 - Permanent Full Time

For the Community of La Ronge

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services Department is now inviting applications for a Permanent Full Time Dental Aide to work in the community of La Ronge.  The successful candidate will be required to assist the Dental Therapist in the provision of dental services and dental health education to children enrolled in the Lac La Ronge Indian Bands Dental Therapy Program.  

Duties:
    Prepare patient  and assist Dental Therapists during dental procedures;
    Provide fluoride treatments to school aged children, including home visits;
    Patient instructions: oral hygiene (brush, floss);
    General office duties as required;
    Book and confirm appointments when required;
    Maintain accurate Client Dental Record forms;
    Infection Control/Sterilization;
    Other related duties as assigned by the Dental Therapist;
    Maintain positive public relations with clients visited;
    Work as part of the health care team;

Qualifications:
    Minimum Grade 12 and willing to receive training;
    Verbal and written communication skills;
    Must have a valid drivers license;
    Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check and Drivers Abstract required upon hire.
