Description

The Armand Bekkattla Treatment Centre is now accepting applications for the position of EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.

Armand Bekkattla Treatment Centre is a residential treatment centre for adults, located on the Clearwater River Dene Nation.  The EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR will report to the Board of Director's; the ideal candidate for this position will be a person who can provide innovative and strength based leadership

Relevant experiences
-Senior management level work, including supervision of a diverse team of staff; Financial management; Strategic planning; Program development/evaluation; Addictions programming; and Working within a culturally diverse environment.

Key qualities
-Broad view of the continuum of addiction services; and Excellent understanding of substance abuse continuum and mental health issues, as reflected in population health data on concurrent disorders, models of treatment, etc.

Qualifications
-Degree/Diploma in health/human services and demonstrated capacity to work in the administration and addictions field; Must lead a life of sobriety and one free of addictions; Demonstrated leadership skills with previous experience; Supervisory and management experience; Knowledge of the treatment of substance abuse and mental health issues; Current knowledge of the dynamics of addictions; Organizational skills and an ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form; Knowledge and understanding of aboriginal culture, language, organizations and communities; Maintain good working relations and an active liaison with all professionals, organizations, community groups and individuals directly or indirectly involved in the operations of the Treatment Centre; Must have a valid driver's license; and The ability to speak Dene would be an asset.
