Duties:
1.To demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand, and a focus on safety
2.To be dependable for all scheduled shifts (daytime, afternoon and weekend shifts on rotation)
3.To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude.
4.To engage and interact with guest to create a positive shopping experience - in person, on the telephone and at the point of sale.
5.To be responsible for completing required paperwork based on department standards and deadlines.
6.To be responsible for cashing, packing groceries, serving guests, receiving, merchandising, unloading truck, stocking, facing and general housekeeping duties.
7.To keep accurate records to support procedures and inventory management including completing paperwork required for claims, damages and shortages.
8.To continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf at all times; follow FIFO.
9.To be familiar with and adhere to all Pineland Co-op Policies and Procedures.
10. To have safety as the number one priority at all times
11.To perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1.Grade 12 or equivalent preferred.
2.Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, versatility and flexibility are required.
3. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
4. Computer knowledge and experience preferred; till experience an asset.
5. Knowledge of the retail liquor industry is an asset
6. Completion of Serve It Right Program is an asset (or a willingness to obtain)
7. Applicant must be able to work morning, afternoons and a weekend rotation.
8. Ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 40 pounds
9. May be required to be on one's feet for extended periods of time
