Description

East Central Saskatchewan Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured (EC SARBI) has been offering individually designed rehabilitation programs to clients with acquired brain injuries since 2003. We are looking for a Summer Program Assistant to assist with the delivery of client programming and support to survivors of acquired brain injuries and their families, ensuring that they have a safe and pleasant experience while in our program.

Under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator and/or Executive Director, the Program Assistant is responsible for the safety and enjoyment of clients at all times. The Program Assistant will work as part of a team to plan, organize, implement and evaluate client rehabilitation programs; document and report relevant information regarding clients health and safety; and work one-on-one with clients on their individual rehabilitation programs. Other duties will include planning special events and celebrations as well as some light clerical duties.

The ideal candidate will have:

- an interest in working with brain injury survivors
- the ability to empathize and work with people with varying abilities
- positive attitude and the ability to take directions easily
- good organizational and time management skills
- effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- a good sense of humour

This position offers 30 hours per week for 8 weeks through July and August.
