Description

We are seeking a full-time Finance Manager. This position reports directly to the Director of Financial Services.

The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, is an assertive self-starter with a solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the areas of budgeting and forecasting, both from an operation and from a capital perspective. This position will be involved in the external audit process and will be responsible for ensuring accounting standards and principles are adhered to, as well as, agency financial policy and procedures. The Finance Manager position supervises a team of financial analysts and is responsible for managing the team to ensure budget variances are reviewed, account reconciliations completed, and management reports are completed and issued in a timely and accurate manner. This position will also be actively involved in the budget development process, providing direction and support to the budget analysts as they work with divisions to gather and compile budget inputs. This position will ensure that budget inputs are compiled, review assumptions for reasonableness, and the preparation of reports. This position will oversee the forecasting processes for the agency, provide year end expectancy reports with variance explanations, and ensure that financial analysis of new programs or program expansions are completed in a timely and thorough manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and must be able to adapt to change quickly.

Qualifications and key attributes include but are not limited to:

Bachelors degree (Admin/Commerce) with major in Finance/Accounting/General Business
Professional accounting designation
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance related experience
