Reporting to the Operations Manager at the Tisdale, SK welded tank facility, the Sales Support Coordinator (SSC) is responsible for activities related to sales rep support and estimating. The SSC supports the Sales Team in all aspects of the sales process from opportunity through PO award and order release. Some post-order support will also be required.
The key duty of the SSC is to coordinate the flow of information from sales reps through the internal business and to external customers. Using strong leadership and communication skills, the SSC is responsible for furthering the sales process by building an internal network of resources to successfully take an opportunity from concept to order. The SSC role will be actively involved in core business activities.
To be successful, the SSC must be able to:
Network with internal customers
Understand the duties of each department at all related facilities and identify key players within each department and facility
Communicate clearly to both internal and external customers
Have the technical knowledge required to take an active role in the tank specification/design process
Be the catalyst of increased customer service levels
Focus on the sales and estimating process up to the point of final signed drawing, PO acceptance, sales order creation and fabrication release
Monitor, manage and assign tasks related to open quotes per the established system and under guidance of the Operations Managers
Be the first point of contact for Estimators who require additional information to provide an accurate estimate
Complete estimates where required for all products and all facilities
Compile estimates of welded products other than petroleum from other facilities
