SED Systems specializes in developing complex hardware and software systems for cable, telecommunications, satellite communications and defense applications. This position is based out of our newly-built research location in the north industrial area. SED Research is an offshoot of SED Systems, focusing on the fabrication and use of advanced composites for the satcom industry.
This is a full-time, 1 year term position and requires a schedule of 7:00am 3:00pm, Monday through Friday.
The Assembler performs work related to the production of composite components and assemblies, working in accordance with prescribed procedures.
Responsibilities:
-Fabrication of both small and large composite panels
-Trimming and finishing work on composite parts
-Bonding of composite structures
-Assist in the integration of these sub-assemblies into larger, more complex systems
Requirements:
-A high school diploma/equivalent. No previous experience required.
-A reliable employment history and an interest in working in a team environment.
The ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program is mandatory. All employees are required to apply for and receive a Government Security Clearance.
