ATTENTION ENGINEERING STUDENTS! Are you looking to make some extra cash while gaining industry experience? We are looking for an eager-to-learn individual interested in building and assembling parts for multiple high-performance composite carbon-fiber antennas!
This is a full-time, 1 year term position which requires a schedule of 7:00am 3:00pm, every Saturday.
SED Systems specializes in developing complex hardware and software systems for cable, telecommunications, satellite communications and defense applications. This position is based out of our newly-built research location in the north industrial area. SED Research is an offshoot of SED Systems, focusing on the fabrication of advanced composites for the satcom industry.
The Assembler performs work related to the production of composite components and assemblies, working in accordance with prescribed procedures.
Responsibilities:
-Fabrication of both small and large composite panels
-Trimming and finishing work on composite parts
-Casting and bonding of composite structures
-Assisting in the integration of these sub-assemblies into larger, more complex systems
Requirements:
-A high school diploma or equivalent (no previous experience required)
-A reliable employment history and an interest in working in a team environment
-Strong attention to detail
The ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program is mandatory. All employees are required to apply for and receive a Government Security Clearance.
