PROJECT MANAGER
GFS Projects is a Design-Build General Contractor focused on the Western Canadian agriculture industry. We design, build and project manage turn-key construction projects for commercial farming operations and Ag Inputs retailers across the prairie provinces.
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team, based in Regina, SK.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee total construction effort to ensure project completes successfully according to design, budget and schedule
- Monitor project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, safety and environmental quality
- Liaise with on-site project team, client representatives, consultants and subcontractors
- Conduct site visits, safety inspections and ensure standards and procedures are being upheld
- Supervise, coach, mentor and assess performance of team members.
- Assist with proposal documentation/drafting
- Oversee project closeout
- Assist in negotiation of disputes and claims with owners and subtrades
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years project management experience would be an asset
- Knowledge of civil construction methods including, earthworks and aggregates would be a great asset
- Knowledge of various construction methods, sequencing, timelines and potential problem and risk identification
- Experience with Excel, Word, Power Point
- ACAD/Inventor or 3D Modeling experience would be an asset
- Working knowledge of project management software would be an asset
- Extremely organized, diligent and punctual
- Ability to be flexible and work in fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Personable, pleasant team player who works well with others
