MILLWRIGHT

GFS Projects is a Design-Build General Contractor focused on the Western Canadian agriculture industry.  We design, build and project manage turn-key construction projects for commercial farming operations and Ag Inputs retailers across the prairie provinces.

We are currently seeking a qualified, experienced Millwright to join our team, based out of Regina, SK.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

-    Assemble and install machinery and mechanical equipment  mainly conveyors & bucket elevators.
-    Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
-    Use precision measuring tools, gauges and indicators.
-    Assemble and align industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to specifications.
-    Perform diversified tasks such as welding & fitting, equipment maintenance, etc.
-    Have excellent understanding of engineered drawings, diagrams and schematics.
-    Demonstrate safe rigging practices, operate hoisting and lifting machinery during assembly, installation and repair of machinery.
-    Have solid working knowledge of mechanical drives and assemblies
-    Be committed to safe work practices, including completing job site safety documentation.

Qualifications:

-    Practical field experience in the Millwright trade is an asset.
-    Journeypersons certification from a recognized school, not required but is considered an asset.
-    Ability to operate required equipment safely and responsibly.
-    Critical eye for identifying defects and high attention to detail.
-    Ability to supervise other site staff.
-    Travel will be required.  Must be willing to be away for extended periods.
-    Professional, customer service attitude.
-    Valid drivers license
