STATUS: Term/Part-Time
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Anita Vincent, Coordinator
DUTIES:
This position is primarily responsible for developing, coordinating, delivering and facilitating the classroom component of the Essential Skills- Tourism & Hospitality program. The program goal is to help build workforce skills within the tourism and hospitality industry.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The minimum educational qualification for this position is a two-year post-secondary diploma or equivalent in Human or Social Services or Behavioral Sciences field or a journeyperson trade certificate. This education or training would provide general skills transferable to a multitude of workplaces as well as provide knowledge in group facilitation, adult education methodology, Essential Skills and counseling skills. Hotel and Restaurant Management Diploma an asset.
The minimum amount of practical, related experience required to perform the duties of this position is two years in providing career information, effectively liaising with employers or funding agencies and developing and delivering workshops.
Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment and handling sensitive issues.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check, have a valid Saskatchewan Drivers Licence and receive project partner approval.
