Description

As the Senior Technologist, you will develop, maintain and administer the corporate asset management system, CAD drafting record drawings program, GIS program; and provide routine to moderately complex engineering technology support for a broad range of project engineering activities related to the investigation, design, construction and maintenance of water or wastewater supply, distribution, disposal and treatment projects.

To qualify for this position, you will have a Diploma Geomatics or Civil Engineering Technology or a similar technical discipline and certification with Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians (SASTT) as an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) along with 48 months of previous related work experience.  You have a working knowledge of standard engineering practices and procedures; hydraulic modeling theory and associated software; digital drafting software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D; GIS and applicable software; SQL and asset management; and Global Positioning Systems, total stations, laser levels, automatic levels, data collectors and conventional survey equipment.  You have the ability to train others and read engineering drawings and specifications and translate information for use by contracts and staff.  You are reliable and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Special Requirements:  The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Records Check and a Fit for Duty Test.

A valid Saskatchewan drivers license is required.
