Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, you would be responsible for all areas of welding by utilizing all equipment, structures, tools and necessary safety personal protective equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:  Other duties may be assigned as required.

-Perform all kinds of welding and cutting of any type of metal using gas and electric welding equipment
-Receive instructions, prints, and work orders for job
-Interpret drawings and sketches, plans details of working procedure, tools and material requirements
-Selects materials in accordance with suitability for job
-Lay out work, makes sketches, and determine the stock sizes as required
-Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded as required
-Sets up, assemble, and tack weld parts, constructing special fixtures as needed
-Make any type and size of weld, such as V lap, butt, etc; preheat parts when required
    

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Red Seal Journeyperson Welder Certificate
-Minimum 1 year welding experience
