Job Position: Part Time Baker / Cake Decorator
The potential candidate will receive a minimum of 24 hours per week with additional hours depending on incoming orders on a per week basis. Flexibility with scheduling is a MUST.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide delightful customer service and support the whole bakery team.
Must be able to work early morning shift (start at 5am or 6am)
Work with other baker and the Bakery Manager to ensure the bread quality and timely delivery.
Preparing, baking, bagging, and labeling all baked goods.
Assist with stock rotation, restocking pastry shelves and maintaining a sufficient and fresh supply of baked goods.
Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the work environment is maintained.
As a cake decorator you should be artistic, independent, have an attention to detail.
Manage and apply creativity into decoration of cakes and other special order.
Other duties as required.
What you will need:
Can operate baking machinery - (Proofer,Oven,Bread slicer)
Computer and office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task,be self-directed and have organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stand for a long period of time. Must be able to lift 40 Lbs(18Kg)
Experience in the food service industry and cake decorating is preferred.
Food Safety Certificate is preferred.
First Aid Certificate is preferred.
