This TERM RPN/RN position is for The Salvation Army Community Alternatives to Remand Program. The program objectives will be focused on assisting the participant in 1) reducing the chance of criminal re-offending 2) increasing compliance with any legal conditions while in the community, and 3) increasing the likelihood of the participant attending scheduled court appearances, while awaiting conclusion of the accused's criminal charge(s).
-Monitoring of medication; recommending doctor review, observing potential side effects
-Reviewing available medical files
-Liaising with health-related professionals
-Providing advice and counselling to the resident
-Assesses the resident and prepares individual care plans
-Assesses resident behavior and report any significant changes to supervisor
-Maintains medical records according to processional standards
20 hours per week
Must have a Psychiatric Nursing Degree or Register Nursing Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience is preferred. Registered or eligible for registration with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS) or Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
