ULS is currently looking for a Landscape Labourer with gardening experience to work in Saskatoon within our Landscape Maintenance division. This position will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including the upkeep and maintenance of gardens, lawns, parks and grounds for industrial, municipal, residential and, commercial properties, while providing exceptional customer service. Candidates should be able to identify all or most of the common weeds in Saskatoon, as well as identify most common shrubs. The candidate should also be comfortable with minor pruning of common shrubs and small trees.
Responsibilities
Demonstrating safety leadership and safe work practices at all times
Working in accordance with ULS policies and procedures
Providing exceptional customer service & client experiences
Maintaining lawns, gardens and other landscaped areas, which includes: weeding, edging, cultivating, grass cutting, detail gardening, fertilizer application, hedge trimming
Additional landscape maintenance tasks as required
Basic/Required Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma
Valid Drivers License (class 5) G endorsement required
Working knowledge of the use of common hand and power tools relative to landscape maintenance, lawn care, gardening
All successfully candidates must provide a recent criminal record check as part of employment
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
Previous landscaping, snow removal and/or maintenance experience is an asset
Ability to take direction, learn and work independently as well as part of a team
Motivated and energetic team player with an attention to detail and great work ethic
