The successful candidate will assist with the implementation of curriculum-based education programming to support the exhibits within the public galleries. Programming must reflect the diversity of our community represented within our hall of fame gallery to include inductees with disabilities, Aboriginal inductees, inductees representing visible minorities, and inductees representing newcomers to Canada. During the months of July & August the successful candidate will participate in the development and implementation of an exciting summer program, Creating Active Champions, targeting children ages 4-12. The program focuses on the development of activities that can be done individually or in a group in order to promote long term physical activity at home and in the community. Additional responsibilities of the job include researching the history of artifacts within the permanent collection specific to inductees in the Hall of Fame, and working to get the information incorporated online as part of our website and online curriculum programming. There may also be the opportunity to participate in special event activities partnering the Hall of Fame with local community celebrations that can involve our traveling exhibit trailer.
