AGT Foods, a division of Alliance Pulse Processors Inc., is seeking a Controller - Accounting Services to join our Regina Head Office team.

The Controller - Accounting Services will prepare and record tax entries on a quarterly basis as well as be involved in other tax matters such as transfer pricing. Additionally, the position will be active in the global budgeting process and correspond with subsidiaries around the world.  Finally, the individual will be responsible for reviewing various account reconciliations and be active in the financial reporting process including the consolidation and financial statements of AGT.

Responsibilities:
    Complete current and deferred tax working papers for quarterly financial reporting
    Liaise with independent tax experts for various tax initiatives such as country-by-country reporting, transfer documentation, etc.
    Assist auditors with completion of tax filings  
    Lead budgeting process
    Prepare covenant analysis for review by senior management
    Participate in variance analysis discussions for subsidiaries in multinational company
    Assist with financial statement preparation and review of financial statement notes
    Review account reconciliations and journal entries
    Assist with internal control requirements and initiatives as necessary
    Other accounting and finance duties as necessary

Skills & Abilities:
    CPA designation, with a minimum of 5 years post designation experience
    Understanding of taxes an asset
    Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel & Outlook
    Attention to planning, process, and detail
    Quick learner
    Desire for continued improvement and understanding
    Able to communicate effectively with different internal groups around the world
    Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP system considered an asset
