The manager, governance and privacy, is accountable to the associate vice-president, strategy (or designate), and is responsible for the development and management of strategies, processes, systems and tools for a variety of institution-wide governance and privacy initiatives. The manager, governance and privacy, will lead select governance matters, including but not limited to, certain Saskatchewan Polytechnic board of directors governance elements, internal decision-making governance, information governance, the institutional policy framework, and will manage the Saskatchewan Polytechnic privacy office in order to ensure organizational compliance with The Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The governance and privacy specialist will also provide training to faculty and staff in all related areas.

The position will lead the planning, development and implementation of Saskatchewan Polytechnics governance and policy framework, and its privacy responsibilities, in accordance with applicable legislation, policies and procedures.
