ULS is currently looking for two Tree Planting Operators to join our team in Saskatoon. This role will be responsible for planting trees for the remainder of our summer season.  Work starts immediately until the October.  There is potential for the right candidates to work our winter snow season after this summer contract is fulfilled.

Responsibilities:
Demonstrating safety leadership and safe work practices at all times
Working in accordance with ULS policies and procedures
Providing exceptional customer service
Operating knowledge of a variety of landscape equipment with valid operating certifications (skid steer, etc)
Work consists of:
Loading trees at the city nursery via skid steer or mini loader
Proper tarping and securement of trees on a triaxle trailer
Proper unloading of trees on site
Excavation of tree holes with tree spade or other digging implement for skid steer
Planting of trees complete with backfill of dirt and placement of 100mm wood mulch
High emphasis on safety as locations are along boulevards and roads
Additional tasks as required


Basic/Required Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma
Minimum 3-5 years of previous experience in a similar role in tree planting
Valid Drivers License, G endorsement and copy of drivers abstract
Experience with skid steer, truck and trailer, loader, excavator required
Base knowledge of proper tree planting for ball and burlap commercial sized trees
Ability to have a flexible work schedule and adhere to tight deadlines for deliverables
Operating certifications for various types of equipment and tools
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
Strong adherence to ULS safety policies and protocol
All successfully candidates must provide a recent criminal record check as part of employment
Legally authorized to work in Canada
