Babich Farms is a large family run farming operation located at Pasqua, SK, just outside of Moose Jaw.
We are currently recruiting for five (5) Harvest Seasonal Farm Equipment Operator positions.
Employment type: Seasonal, Harvest August 15th to October 15 OR end of harvest.
Work Location: Babich Farms NW 21 16 25 W2
Compensation: $23 - $28 per hour (dependent on experience),
either contractor invoice w/ GST OR
with standard payroll deductions
Position Summary: Reporting to the Farm Supervisor, the Seasonal Harvest Farm Worker will perform duties required to complete crop harvest.
Duties include:
ONE or more of the following:
1) Operate combine.
2) Drive tractor and grain cart.
3) Drive semi.
Operate auger
any other tasks required to harvest crops
Operate, maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment
Requirements:
- PREFERENCE for prior harvest experience and prior combine/farm equipment operation experience.
- Valid drivers license
- provide current 5 year commercial drivers abstract for Class 1A License
Able to perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to carry out maintenance and repairs on farm equipment .
Successful candidate will be able to work successfully within a team environment as well as work independently.
Successful candidate is willing to work longer hours during harvest.
