Description

The Saskatchewan Municipal Board (SMB) is an independent administrative tribunal established for regulatory and quasi-judicial purposes.  The SMBs regulatory function is to provide approvals for municipalities with respect to local improvements, borrowing, utility rates, set city debt limits and ensure fiscal health of municipalities.  The quasi-judicial function is to hear appeals from interested parties, with the majority of appeals relating to property tax assessment and planning and development.  Key stakeholders include municipalities, ratepayers, developers, tax agents, financial institutions, crowns and ministries.

The SMB has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a highly motivated Legal Assistant.  As the successful candidate, you will work in cooperation with the administrative team, directors, Board members and stakeholders to support and facilitate the smooth operation of the appeal process.
