1  Full-Time Term with possibility of extension
  DIETITIAN
For the Community of La Ronge

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Health Services Department is now inviting applications for a full-time term Dietitian position for the community of La Ronge.  Under the direction of the Home & Community Health Manager, the Dietitian will provide consultations, counseling and education services to the Lac La Ronge Indian Band membership communities in order to improve and protect the nutritional health of their members.

Duties:
    Provide assessments of client health needs and diet;
    Counsel clients on nutrition and healthy eating habits;
    Develop meal plans;
    Provide on-going evaluation of the effects of meal plans and making changes as needed;
    Develop and deliver education sessions on topics related to food and nutrition;
    Provide written reports to document client progress;

Qualifications:
    Degree in Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, Food Systems Management, Clinical Nutrition or related field;
    Must be registered (or eligible for registration) with the Saskatchewan Dietetic Association and/or the Dietitians of Canada
    Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, public relations and problem solving skills;
    Strong computer and research skills;
    Ability to speak/understand Cree is a definite asset;
    Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
    Must have a Valid Class 5 Driverss License and the ability to travel;
    Current Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening and Driverss Abstract required upon hire.
