This is a temporary full-time opportunity located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Plan, direct, and coordinate all lab activities including determining the type and nature of testing to be done
Perform comprehensive chemical (analytical) microbiological and packaging analysis on each product at each and every stage of the process
Supervise, coach and mentor lab technicians, providing direction and oversight to unionized lab staff
Operate within annual department budgets and capital budgets
Assist in assuring compliance with appropriate regulations and standards
Conduct monthly housekeeping audits
Perform miscellaneous assignments and special analysis at the request of the Senior Quality Assurance Manager
Develop organizational Quality Policy and conduct quality-oriented education training sessions

Bachelor of Science degree with a major in microbiology plus 5 ? 10 years of broad lab or analytical experience. A Certified Quality Auditor designation would be an asset
Develop or possess a working knowledge of HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety and Scientific Research & Experimental Design (SRED) applications
Deep knowledge and understanding of the brewing process and process system management
Computer literate and comfortable using MS Office (Word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
