Description

The Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbors (SIGN) is seeking the Primary Youth Care Worker is to work with the Program Manager, Case Management Supervisor and other staff in fulfilling the overall objectives of the home. The position will assist in the development and implementation quality programming that will enhance the personal, educational, emotional, and social development of the youth living in the home.  

The successful candidate should have the Education and Professional Experiences of:
    Bachelor of Social Work Degree preferred but equivalent education, training and experience will be considered
    Experience in a group home setting and/or working with youth would be an asset
    A clean Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Check from RCMP

And the assets and abilities, inclusive of (but not limited to):
    Ability Overall case management for one or more youth.
    Maintaining youth files with all relevant reports such as:
o    Intake reports, Admission reports, Case conferences, and Discharge reports
    Assess, evaluate, plan, and revise youth care/support as directed by the AGH Program Manager or AGH Case Management Supervisor.
    Demonstrate cooperation among other staff members in order to ensure efficiency of care and support for youth
    Protect the health and safety of others by adopting safe work practices and reporting unsafe conditions immediately
    Ensure familiarity with the case plans as developed for each resident and observing any special considerations or following any special instructions indicated
    Complete the days reports and file as needed and where needed

In the following working conditions:
    Operation of desktop computer and peripherals
    Interaction with employees, management, and youth
    Working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
