A temporary part time LIBRARY TECHNICIAN job share position is available at Moose Jaw Public Library. Reporting to the Children's Librarian, this temporary position is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic customer service expert who enjoys working with families and providing innovative programs designed for children.
We are looking for a versatile and friendly leader who wants to make a difference in the community. This person must be passionate about helping others, and able to assist children and families with a wide range of information needs. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, and will be eager to learn and share their knowledge with others. This position involves shift work, including evenings and weekends, as well as offering events for people of all ages.
Education Requirement: Library Technology diploma or an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution.
A minimum of 1 years work experience in a library or customer service environment
Saskatchewan Drivers License

Basic Duties:
- Assists in selection of children's library materials from catalogues and websites
- Provides circulation/reference/archives assistance as requested.
- Performs programs and offers library services in library and community settings
- Develops programs in collaboration with library staff and community stakeholders.
- Assist patrons with use of public access catalogues, internet stations, as well as physical and digital collections
- Responsible for the security and orderly operation of the library in the absence of senior personnel
