Job Description: The incumbent will be responsible for coordination, delivery and evaluation of provincial programs, including but not limited to the provincial Newborn Hearing Screening Program, as well as providing clinical audiology services. Within the context of a client and family centered approach and in accordance with established standards of professional practice, the senior audiologist performs clinical audiological services including assessments, diagnoses and treatment for eligible patients with hearing and balance concerns. This may also include tasks such as completing patient reports, educating patients/families, providing hearing related counseling and consultation as well as playing an active role in the Saskatchewan Cochlear Implant Program. The senior audiologist may also supervise staff, act as a resource within the Health Authority, and develop and provide input into budget(s) for program(s) they support.
Required Qualifications
Masters Degree in Audiology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA)
Valid drivers license and the ability to travel both within the Region and Provincially.
Must possess a valid driver's license and vehicle
Experience
Minimum two years' experience as an Audiologist.
Previous experience in program development, educator and/or supervisory role is an asset. Previous experience with cochlear implant assessment/rehabilitation and hearing aid assessment and fitting is an asset.
