Facility: Saskatoon City Hospital
Job Description: The Accounts Receivable Accountant is accountable for providing the leadership, direction and coordination necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the patient and non-patient Accounts Receivable processes. As well, the accountant is responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate financial information by performing critical general ledger reconciliations and audits of accounts receivable documents. The incumbent creates and sustains a workplace environment that fosters respect, builds trust, open communication and promotion of learning and growth.
Required Qualifications

Baccalaureate degree in Commerce with an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a computerized accounting department
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to manage within an environment of restricted resources
Ability to ensure effective use of resources
Ability to lead change and innovation
Ability to plan, prioritize and oversee numerous concurrent projects effectively
Ability to ensure establishment of appropriate standards, policies and practices
Ability to manage on-going technology transition planning
Ability to maintain a focus on quality and safety in all services
Knowledge of audit principles and practices.
Demonstrated accounting skills and familiarity with the accounting life-cycle
Advanced computer skills including database management and report development tools

Expected Up To Date: June 11, 2021
FTE: 1.00

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days
In a 1 week rotation: 5 shifts of 7.50 hours
