Description

Sun West School Division invites applications for a Temporary 1.0 FTE School Psychologist on the Student Services team, starting on or before September 30, 2019 and ending June 30, 2020. This position will be based out of Rosetown, SK. The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Student Support Services Supervisor and will work with a team of School Psychologists to provide psychological services to students in the school division.

Areas of responsibility include:
Assessment of students' academic achievement, cognitive, and behavioral development.
Providing written reports based on psycho-educational assessments.
Development of appropriate programs to assist students in acquiring academic and social skills.
Assisting resource and classroom teachers in developing appropriate classroom programming for students with behavioural disorders.
Providing support for resource and classroom teachers, parents, and educational assistants in program delivery.
Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, school administrators, and community agencies.
Working with a multidisciplinary student services team to provide services to children.
Providing in-service opportunities and professional development for staff.

The successful applicant will possess a Master's Degree in Educational/School Psychology and will meet the requirements for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.

Serving approximately 4,500 students in 40 schools, Sun West School Division is located in west central Saskatchewan.  The central office is located in Rosetown.
