Residence Inn by Marriott Regina is seeking an outgoing part/full time front desk agent! The successful candidate should be outgoing and friendly with a service-orientated personality and a natural talent for customer service. Here at Residence Inn, we are all about RI-markable service looking for opportunities to go above and beyond for our guests, and it starts with our Front Desk team.
Our current open front desk position is part-time to full-time and hours would fluctuate based on occupancy. Applicants availability will dictate number of shifts, however please note having early morning & evening availability is required. Shifts start as early as 7am and work as late as 11pm, including STAT holidays. Please note this is NOT a Summer Temporary position, however anyone with afternoon/evening/weekend availability in the fall are welcome to apply.
*Applicants MUST be able to work in Canada and speak excellent English.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a welcoming smile and friendly demeanor
- Perform all guest check-in and check-out procedures
- Obtain or confirm guest information, assign rooms, activate and distribute keys, etc.
- Collect payment for room charges and other fees
- Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate personnel
- Problem solve to ensure guest satisfaction
- Make and confirm reservations
- Check and send emails
- Inform guests of hotel amenities and offerings
- Be informed and up-to-date on all types of room accommodation and availability
- Communicate with housekeeping, room service and all staff as necessary
- Resolve customer complaints and problems calmly and effectively
- Maintain a friendly, personable disposition
- Perform various clerical tasks as needed (sorting mail, paper filing, etc.)
