Community Addictions Prevention Program Worker
The Community Addictions Prevention Program Worker shall report directly to the Director of Health and shall work under the direction of the Saskatoon Tribal Council (STC) Health and Addictions Coordinator.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
Full-time, Clinic Hours Monday Friday, 8:00am 4:30 pm, unless otherwise directed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Thorough understanding of and commitment to confidentiality;
Completion of a relevant post-secondary course (e.g. chemical dependency diploma);
Three (3) years continuous sobriety;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Counselling and community development experience;
Proven ability to work cooperatively with others;
Valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle.
DUTIES (include but are not limited to):
Coordinate and provide pre-treatment and assessment services;
Coordinate and execute MFN Alcohol & Drug Policy;
Provide individual or group counselling as needed;
Organize case-management/wrap around training as necessary;
Assist with crisis counselling during and / or after a crisis incident;
Provide follow-up services;
Coordinate and provide prevention programs;
Organize and conduct support groups;
Prepare written reports as required;
Coordinate events for National Addictions Awareness Week (annually);
Adhere to Muskoday First Nation, Alcohol and Drug Free Workplace Policy..
SALARY: To commensurate with experience and qualifications.
