Description

Python Manufacturing is the manufacturing arm of SuperiorRoads Solutions. We manufacture technically-advanced, self-propelled pothole patchers for markets around the world. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced purchaser who will work with our purchasing team to procure a wide range of components, materials and items, and manage supplier relationships.  

As the Purchaser, you will:

Negotiate contracts with suppliers, specifying quality, quantity and delivery schedules
Communicate with vendors and transportation companies to ensure that materials, parts and components that have been ordered will arrive when required and promised  
Maintain an inventory control system
Monitor and record incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting and verifying goods against invoices or other documents
Source new products and alternative suppliers
Provide quick and accurate information to operations and planning
Maintain excellent relationships with vendors and internal team members

The successful candidate will have:

Five years experience in purchasing or material procurements, or an equivalent amount of related education and experience
Above-average negotiating skills
Strong decision-making skills
Strong computer skills, with knowledge of MRP or ERP systems required
Experience in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment would be preferred
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Mechanical background
Strong communication skills and ability to network and build relationships with vendors and suppliers
