Description

Management and Operations:
-Ensure all internal systems and processes are followed.
-Promote, encourage and ensure while leading by example our Core Values
-Ensure all OH&S standards are met.
-Provide input in Strategic Planning Process
-Make recommendations to the Executive team
-Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed including assisting in other Nicor divisions as necessary.

Managing Work Flow:
-Seeking work for the hoppers
-Investigating work and contracting work for the future
-Implementing current work

Financial Performance and Reporting:
-Reviewing overall budget monthly with actuals
-Reviewing the project budgets of each job
-Controlling costs
-Raising 10-15% variances to management

Reporting to Clients and Management:
-Work with system experts to have regular reporting done
-Report to CEO on any strategy required. This position is the key strategy role for NCL. Executive is available for strategy, but recommendations and ideas need to be generated by this role.

Employee Management:
-Keep controls on Construction Lead(s) and communicate expectations clearly
-Ensure we are maximizing our staffing time and efficiency
-Using the upcoming, current jobs to measure staff requirements (gearing up or down)
-Conduct Performance Appraisals
-Direct staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
-Maintaining staff by recruiting, selecting (in conjunction with HR), orienting and training employees

Client Relationships:
-Know the project, lead communication with the client
-Understand the project, timelines the customer requires
-Getting feedback and providing updates that are relevant to the customer


The successful candidate must exhibit strong leadership skills.
