David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Plant Project Engineer. This permanent full-time opportunity is based in Regina, Saskatchewan. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical or Industrial Engineer with a deep understanding of project management, including experience with facilities expansions, major repairs, and retrofits. Key Responsibilities Include:
Manage expansion, retrofits, and major repairs to fixed facilities; evaluate and update as necessary
Oversee new and existing projects from inception/design concept to the finished product
Implement qualification/repair projects including coordination with all other internal and
external stakeholders, engineering consultants, and contractors
Support Plant Managers and Supervisors with any issues on any expansion/retrofits
Provide input into the preparation or updating of design and procedural standards

The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelors degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, with 5 years experience in a similar role. A relevant technology diploma may be considered when coupled with 10-15 years experience. P.Eng certification would be considered an asset.
Project management experience is required, with a preference for candidates with PMP certification
Lean manufacturing experience
AutoCAD drafting knowledge preferred
Experience in the rail industry and an understanding of welding practices
