Wan-Dor Inn is looking for Personal Care Providers.  Resident personal care is required, including:
- assisting with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, meal preparation as per an 8 week cycle menu, preparation and serving of snacks;
- cleaning, including sanitizing bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping floors, washing floors, washing dishes, laundry, dusting, making beds, and cleaning resident's rooms;
- planning and assisting with in-house activities; spending one-on-one time with residents; charting - medical, medications, daily resident and staff communications; accompaning residents on social outings, to medical appointments and personal appointments; assuring resident's safety, including knowing and implementing fire drills and evacuation plans once every 3 months and any other duties assigned.
Qualified candidates will possess Basic First Aide, Safe Food Handler's Course, Special Care Aide Certificate or 16 hour Personal Care Course; excellent written and verbal communication; abliity to work as part of a team and independently with little supervision.  Driver's license is an asset, as well as food preparation skills and excellant cleaning skills.  Training may be provided to applicants receiving EI benefits or social assistance benefits.
32 - 36 hours per week
