TENANT SERVICES SUPPORT
Prince Albert Housing Authority

If you enjoy working with people,and enjoy problem solving in a fast paced and challenging environment, this opportunity could be for you!  

You are responsible to establish working relationships with tenants and be able to effectively communicate the housing authoritys policies and promote tenant programming for seniors and families.  In this position, you will also:

    Advocate for and find support for those who are no longer able to live independently;
    Help mediate conflicts amongst tenants or tenant groups and between buildings;
    Assist with planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating tenant activities for Tenant Association;
    Maintain home visit schedule for new tenants to ensure their needs are met;
    Investigate lease contraventions and attend hearings at the Office of the Residential Tenancies;
    Assist with the Yard Pride and other housing programs;
    Assist with and participate in the development of the Tenant Services yearly plan; and,
    Perform other duties as assigned.  

To be successful in this position, you will have the following:

    A minimum Grade 12 or equivalent, supplemented by a Diploma/Certificate in human services or similar, and at least one-year experience dealing with the public;
    Good working knowledge of The Residential Tenancies Act;
    Solid working knowledge of MS Office (outlook, word, excel, power point)
    Ability to think critically and logically, problem solve, make decisions, work independently, have initiative, exercise good judgment, and you maintain confidentiality;
    You are able to set priorities, multi-task, display patience, empathy, tolerance, trust;
    You are courteous and tactful and respect and value diversity;
    You maintain a neat personal appearance, are bondable, and hold a valid drivers license.
