Must be available for all shifts (days,evenings, nights) on short notice, weekends, stat holidays and vacation relief.
Duties Include:
Provide medical care within the full scope of practice as it is outlined for Licensed Practical Nurses.
Offer direct nursing care for complex medical, nursing and intervention therapies due to disabilities and/chronic diseases.
Provide a holistic approach of health and healing along with nursing.
Assist in physical assessments.
Administer and assist with medications.
Individualize special care and procedures.
Monitor and manage nursing care plans
Advocate on behalf of the individual's health care needs.
Proficient in documentation and record keeping.
Supervising and direction of all care staff.
Qualifications:
Clean Criminal Record Check
First Aid with AED/CPR
Food Safe
Med Assist
TLR
PART
Whimis
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Licensure by the appropriate province or territory of work
- Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
