RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance and Operations the caretaker is responsible for overseeing the direct maintenance of Regina Housing Authority properties. The caretaker is responsible for routine maintenance and property repairs, preparing units for move-ins and ensuring all properties are safe, secure and clean. This role may also entail coordinating and delegating operations to our cleaners and/or contractors. The caretaker is Regina Housings front-line personnel, as such, it is expected that the successful candidate is professional and promotes a strong relationship with Regina Housing, our tenants, and our community partners.

QUALIFICATIONS
*A minimum of 5 years experience with general maintenance and repairs.
*You are confident in your knowledge, skills and abilities in building maintenance and repairs such as basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
*You thrive in a team environment and are able to effectively collaborate and coordinate with fellow coworkers.
*You have exceptional time management skills and are able to prioritize and organize a large workload.
*You have a high degree of self-initiation and are able to complete work independently with minimal supervision.
*Confidentiality is a priority to you while at work.
*You respect and value a diverse work environment.
*You have excellent communication skills in either English and/or French (written and verbal).
*You have valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle (suitable for hauling tools and supplies) as travelling throughout Regina is an integral part of this position.
*You own and know how to operate a variety of tools which are required to complete basic maintenance and repairs.  
*You are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty which includes our mandatory on-call services.
*Preference will be given to applicants who hold a valid Fireman's Certificate, experience with boiler systems and experience with residential maintenance.
