Description

Position Summary
The group facilitator co-facilitates psycho-educational group sessions following the provided curriculum, and provides associated case management functions for clients enrolled in the group. All groups are held in the evening or on weekends, and some travel may be required within a one-hour radius of Prince Albert.

Skills
Strong leadership skills, ability to teach others and communicate effectively.
Ability to lead discussions effectively especially potentially difficult subject matter in a professional manner.
Significant experience in leadership roles and/or project management.

Duties
Facilitate and/or co-facilitate weekly or bi-weekly psycho-educational group sessions for CFS referred clients through the CFS Life Improvement Programs.
Serve as professional role models.
Provide case management duties (including telephone contact with clients) as necessary.
Completes all required documentation (e.g. progress notes, session journals, etc.) following established program protocols and timelines.
Attend clinical supervision/training sessions as required by contractor.
Communicate client/group/agency issues to the Program Director in a timely manner.

Education and Experience/Qualifications

Minimum one year related experience in working with at-risk populations.
Experience with individual and group facilitation and group dynamics.
Significant experience working with trauma would be an asset.
Significant experience working with intimate partner violence would be an asset.
If applying for childrens programming, significant experience working with children who have experienced trauma is required.
Provide a criminal record check (at own expense), and vulnerable sector check.
Successful facilitators are required to provide proof of professional liability insurance.
