Description

CANADIAN ORGANIC Spice & Herb Co. Inc. is looking to hire a full time Production Manager. The Production Manager would be hands on and oversee daily production operations. This would include, working in production, coordinating employees, maintaining safety and quality standards, along with other daily tasks. CANADIAN ORGANIC is looking for someone with previous management experience who has excellent communication and people skills. Someone who is reliable, self-motivated and hard-working.
Wage based on previous experience.
Responsibilities
    Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations, overseeing of production and quality control measures.
    Direct quality control inspections, responsible for food safety audits by CFIA, Public Health and third party auditors
    Co-ordinating employees
    Maintain quality and safety standards
    Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work
    Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines
    Supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques;
    Oversee shipping and receiving
    Ordering and receiving raw materials
Essential Personal Competencies
    Management experience
    Excellent leadership skills
    Ability to keep team focused and motivated
    Self-motivated
    Strong time-management and organizational skills
    Computer skills, competent in using Microsoft outlook, word, excel etc
    Mechanically inclined for running and maintaining packaging equipment, forklifts etc.
    Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility considered an asset
    Ability to lift 50 lbs.
