Description

We are seeking a motivated and self driven individual to join our team in our brand new retirement facility in the Westerra area!

Trinity Manor in Westerra

Must be able to work as soon as possible!

Requirements and duties:

Prepares and cooks to order foods requiring short and broader preparation time.
May produce food and serve customers at an a la carte or may operate a grill station.
Reads food order or receives verbal instructions on food required by other food service workers or from the Executive Chef and prepares and cooks food according to instructions.
Follows basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking,
tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs for
consumption in eating establishments.
Prepares foods by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix
ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming
and cutting meat, poultry or fish for culinary use.
Tastes products, reads menus, estimates food requirements, checks production, and
keeps records in order to accurately plan production requirements and requisition
supplies and equipment.
May clean and sanitize work stations and equipment and must follow all Sodexo, client
and regulatory rules and procedures.
Must have open availability to work in the hours that is specified in this posting.

Hours required: 7:00AM-3:00PM
                          10:00AM-6:00PM

Positions available: 1 Full Time

Hours are subjected to change due to operational requirements and availability.

Must have at least 2 years experience working as Cook 1, 2, banquet or Sous Chef in the hotel, retirement or hospitality industry.

Must be able to pass a criminal and vulnerable sector check.
Must be available ASAP.

*PLEASE NOTE* Westerra is recently developed area so an active bus route may not be available.
