POSITION TITLE: Instructor, Heavy Equipment Operator

TOTAL CONTRACT DAYS: 48 days

DUTIES:
This position is primarily responsible for instruction of the Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate Program. Tasks include preparing and delivering lessons, assignments, lectures, and exams. Instructors will use technology in their delivery when possible to enhance the learning experience.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The minimum educational qualification for this position is Grade 12 or equivalent along with a Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate.
The minimum amount of practical, related experience required to perform the duties of this position is a minimum five years recent and relevant industry experience. This experience would include at least 2,000 hours on at least four of the pieces of equipment in the curriculum.
Preference will be given to candidates with previous instructional experience.
Must meet Assiniboine Community College qualifications and receive necessary approval.
Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
