Our client has a full-time permanent opportunity available for an Environmental Engineer in Saskatoon, SK


Responsibilities
     Report preparation and submission, inspections, operations, written programs, studies and construction projects
    Support in compliance, permitting, and regulatory liaison activities
    Develop, in conjunction with management, balanced project budgets, cost estimates and Requests for Expenditure, for the Operations and Corporate budgeting cycle
    Ensure that environmental action plans are maintained
    Ensure operations are prepared for environmental risks and ensure / facilitate the preparation of environmental preparedness
    Ensure, that records required for Operations compliance are maintained, and that current knowledge to assist the Company to minimize environmental liability
    Perform regular environmental audit programs, taking a proactive stance on environmental issues
    Ensure Compliance with the Management System


Qualifications
    Post-secondary degree in engineering required
    At least ten years related environmental experience
    Solid background/experience with Air permitting
    Environmental specialization and experience acquired in heavy industry (steel), government (regulatory) or environmental/engineering consulting
    Technical knowledge of related science/engineering principles and federal / provincial / state and municipal laws and environmental legislation
    Previous background leading technical projects and/ or contractors required
     Moderate travel will also be required to other Canadian locations
