Position Summary
The Plant Managers role will be to manage all aspects of NEXII Building Solution Inc. manufacturing plant in Moose Jaw, SK, including staff management, administration and plant operations management reporting. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years Plant Management experience and possess excellent operational management skills. They are also a strong practitioner of Lean Manufacturing techniques and a strategic thinker who understands the importance of operations excellence and cost control.

This position will work closely with all levels of management and staff and report to the VP Operations. Direct reports will include a Production Manager, Quality Manager, Procurement Manager, Manufacturing Engineering and administrative staff. They will also work closely with the Senior VP Engineering and the Senior VP of Product Development.

Responsibilities:
Full P&L and budget responsibilities for the plant.
Ensure the proper systems and procedures are in place throughout the manufacturing process.
Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques to increase efficiency and throughput, improve quality and reduce costs.
Identify, review and recommend production equipment requirements to ensure plant is running at optimal efficiency.
Empower managers, supervisors and the production team to perform at optimal levels.
Work closely with Engineering department to ensure that new product introductions incorporate design for manufacturability.
Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes using a continuous improvement mindset.
Ensure that production functions are completed in accordance with established production, safety and quality standards.
Assist VP Operations in designing a second manufacturing plant to be located in the Lower Mainland of BC, that incorporates all the best practice designs learned in the Moose Jaw facility.
