Description

The primary purpose of the Security Analyst role is to lead the detection and prevention of cyber threats to the organization.

This role is responsible for delivery, operation and support of cyber security initiatives, programs, processes and services. This position will provide direction to business units in the in-depth analysis, research, acquisition and development of technology security solutions.  This role is responsible to evaluate overall information technology security, maintain an active view, and report on the actual, mitigated and residual cyber security risk in the organization.

The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible to provide effective security technical leadership to multi-discipline/cross functional teams and stakeholders by leading and being accountable for cyber security initiatives and results, and managing vulnerability and security assessments.  The role anticipates potential information security risks, and implements new and innovative mitigation tactics to reducing the likelihood of risk occurrences, and evaluates data, systems, and networks to synthesize how current defenses and threats translate into risks for the organization, thinking creatively to identify and address system and security flaws.  

The Analyst manages relationships with key service providers, partners and internal groups by maintaining the collaborative relationships needed with key suppliers and partners to develop products and services required to meet client needs.  This includes monitoring service levels from key suppliers/partners and to clients to ensure the delivery of service excellence, resolving issues as required.  You will also be responsible for delivering staff training and awareness programs.
