Description

The Saskatoon Housing Authority is seeking an individual with experience in the administration of rental property for a 6 month term position with the possibility of permanent placement.

Accountabilities:

. Determination of client eligibility under the Social Housing platform, based on asset limits, household income, rental history etc.
. You will be responsible for unit allocation based on applicant needs
. Maintain updated listings, transfer requests, timely data entry of tenant/applicant changes, etc.
. Coordinates & updates application renewal process of applications and current leases
. Maintains vacancy reporting & ensures accurate and timely data entry of vacate/rent termination dates & reason for vacancy
. reviews utility billings & advises the finance team regarding applicable charges.
. completes or assists with the completion of monthly activity statistic reporting
. Obtain verification of income and other supporting documentation for the application process and accurate rent calculation.
. Meet with tenants to ensure the Social Housing lease and Rent Supplement Programs are understood and relay obligations for either party.
. Familiar with the Office of the Rentalsman, eviction procedures, possession, arrears collection, disposition of abandoned property, accurate supporting documentation, schedule move out inspections.
. Establish and prepare arrears repayment schedules.

Education

. Minimum Grade 12 with successful completion of an accredited business program and 3-5 years experience.
. A criminal record & vulnerable sector check will be required at time of hire.
. Working knowledge of the Saskatchewan Residential Tenancies Act.
. Understanding of the Saskatchewan Human Rights Act
. Valid Driver's License and use of road worthy vehicle.
. Additional third party vehicle insurance ($1,000,000 minimum coverage)
